The private residence of the Rev. Dora Ofori Owusu has been put into ashes by fire. The fire which started from a tenant’s room burnt the whole house without exception. It took the timely intervention of the Fire Service to put it out.

This happened in the hours of about 11.00 am on Friday, July 16, 2020.

The retired Minister who currently worship’s with the Denyame Preaching Point was then engaged in a pre-marital counseling session at her residence. To the glory of God, no one was hurt but unfortunately, nothing could be picked from the house with the exception of what the Minister was wearing.

The Asante Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Benson Osafo Kantanka and his team visited the house to see Mama Dora and the family and admonish them and also extended support of the Presbytery. The Female Ministers’ Caucus of the Asante Presbytery visited in their numbers to pray with and support Mama and the family too. The Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Prof. J. O. Y. Mante has since brought light to Mama by speaking and admonishing her so well, which Mama is so thankful for that.

Plans are underway to support the Retired Minister to rebuild the whole house since the remains are beyond renovation.
