25th November 2019

The Presbyterian Relief Service and Development organized a thanksgiving service to celebrate the Lord’s goodness towards the church and the NGO. The Guest Speaker. Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante (The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana) speaking at the event held on Sunday, 17th November, 2019 mentioned that there is the need to celebrate and thank God. He stressed that members should not be ingratiate like some four particular persons known to be ungrateful and find it difficult to thank God. These four persons are;

  1. Rich people
  2. People who are naturally proud
  3. Those who over-spiritualized things;
  4. Those who mistakenly think that people around them owe them.

He added that it is time for the church to take responsibility for their lives instead of shifting blames. He outlined that each day is a gift from God to polish our lives for Heaven and as such it is keen among other reasons for us to give thanks. He said that members should avoid ungratefulness and stop winding in life and that gratitude is the key medicine for greediness and hatred.

The celebration was organised under theme, “Celebrating 10 years of Presbyterian Relief Services and Development: Achievements and Prospects”
