Rev. Alexander Afari-Kissi was born on 5th July 1976 and hails from Anum-Boso in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He is the fifth and last-born of the late Mr Godwin Kofi Afari-Kissi, an Ex-Service man, and Mrs Margret Asabea Afari-Kissi, a businesswoman. He speaks Guan, Akuapem Twi, Asante Twi and English. He was commissioned into the ministry on 6th August 2017 and ordained on 21st July 2019 in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. Academically, Rev. Alexander Afari-Kissi has been inducted into office as the 13th Clerk of the Asante Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), with a call to strengthen administrative efficiency and advance the mission of the Church. The induction took place at a colourful but solemn service at the Ebenezer Congregation, Asawasi. The ceremony was officiated by the Chairperson of the Asante Presbytery, Rev. The National Retreat of the Children Service Teachers Fellowship has successfully ended in Kumasi, with a strong emphasis on equipping the teacher for effective ministry in today’s changing world. The retreat was held from 16th to 18th January, 2026, at the Basel Mission Guesthouse, Kumasi. The Bohyen District Presbyters’ Conference has honoured twenty-five (25) serving and non-serving Presbyters in a special recognition service held on Sunday, 28th December 2025, at the Trinity Congregation, Abrepo–Kumasi. The recognition service, which marked the maiden edition of the initiative, was organised to acknowledge the dedication, sacrifice, and tireless service of Presbyters within the District and the Presbytery at large.
