The colourful activity took place in the church premises during the forenoon church service which attracted several people both adults and children at Boadi. A total of sixty (60) boys and girls and seventeen (17) officers were enrolled.
The Minister-In-Charge of the Congregation, Rev. Stephen Akyeampong encouraged the Brigade to live a life worthy of their calling and emulate the life of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He urged the children to be obedient to the officers and elders of the church and admonished the officers to endeavour to teach the Boys and Girls the Word of God and do the right thing at all times so as to be good children and grow to become good adults who will serve in the church and the nation. He was grateful to the Presbyters and Parents for their support for the Brigade and ensuring that the programme was successful.

The Ashanti Regional Organizer of the Boys Brigade, Dr. Robert Amoanyi, was grateful to God and presented a brief history of the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade. He encouraged parents to continue to provide the necessary support and guidance to ensure that the company grows. The Organizer commented on the fact that the Brigade is one of the very few means of evangelizing children.
Mrs. Vivian Sekyere Amoanyi, the Girls Brigade Ashanti Regional Commissioner, explained the roles of the ranks in the Brigade and that non-performance could result in an officer stripped of her rank.
