The Bohyen District Presbyters’ Conference has honoured twenty-five (25) serving and non-serving Presbyters in a special recognition service held on Sunday, 28th December 2025, at the Trinity Congregation, Abrepo–Kumasi.
The recognition service, which marked the maiden edition of the initiative, was organised to acknowledge the dedication, sacrifice, and tireless service of Presbyters within the District and the Presbytery at large. The honourees were Presbyters who have attained seventy (70) years and above and have rendered distinguished service to the Church over the years.

The event brought together the honourees, their families, ministers, and members of the Presbyters’ Conference in an atmosphere of joy, fellowship, and gratitude. Activities during the programme included the sharing of personal reflections and experiences by the honourees, the presentation of citations, and the donation of undisclosed amounts in appreciation of their service.
Explaining the rationale behind the initiative, Presbyter Alexander Ofori Boateng, the President of the Bohyen District Presbyters’ Conference noted that the recognition service was designed to honour Presbyters while they are alive and able to appreciate the gesture.
Chairman of the Planning Committee, Presbyter Christian Owusu Kusi also expressed satisfaction about how the whole service turned out and added that “ the programme is also intended to serve as motivation and encouragement to younger and serving Presbyters to commit themselves wholeheartedly to the work of God and the growth of the Church.”

Some of the honourees, speaking on behalf of their colleagues, expressed deep gratitude to the Conference for the honour bestowed on them. They described the recognition as humbling and encouraging, and urged younger Presbyters to remain faithful, dedicated, and selfless in their service to God and the Church.
The Bohyen District Presbyters Conference expressed hope that the recognition service would become a biennial feature to celebrate faithfulness, preserve institutional memory, and strengthen fellowship among Presbyters in the District.

Present at the Service was the District Minister, Rev. Daniel Bosea Gyinantwi, Rev. J.H Ofosuhene (Rtd), Revds, James Dapaah Dwamena, Maxwel Osei, Madam Cecilia Agyekum, District Lay Rep, Dr. Daniel K. Danso Presbytery President and host of Distringuished Catechists and Caretakers in the District.
