The 2023 National Evangelism and Church Growth Consultation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, under the theme: “Church Growth: Our Collective Responsibility” (Eph. 4:11-12), has seen the awarding of Asante and West Brong Presbyteries as the two outstanding Presbyteries.
The national Director for Missions and Evangelism, Rev. Dr. E. K. Sarbah, explained that the categories were the outstanding cumulative numerical growth and the outstanding cumulative percentage growth of Presbyteries from 2020 to 2022.
The first five outstandingly performing Presbyteries in terms of quantum are:
1. Asante Presbytery – 34,864
2. Ga Presbytery – 32,890
3. Akuapem Presbytery – 21,030
4. West Brong Presbytery – 20,457
5. Ga West Presbytery – 20,457
The first five outstandingly performing Presbyteries in terms of percentage (%) growth are:
1. West Brong Presbytery – 37%
2. Northern Presbytery – 32.6%
3. North America, Australia Presbytery – 30.4%
4. West Akyem Presbytery – 28.2%
5. Sekyere Presbytery – 27.6%

The inscription on the plaques presented read, “Oustanding achievement awarded to West Brong Presbytery. And;

Your commitment to fostering numerical growth within the Asante Presbytery is truly commendable and serves as a beacon of inspiration to all. Through visionary leadership and unwavering efforts, you have set an exemplary standard for excellence in ministry and service. This award is a testament to your outstanding contributions and a heartfelt reminder of the profound impact of your enduring dedication to the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.”
Rt. Rev. Prof. J. O. Y. Mante, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, presented the awards and prayed that they continue and increase their zeal to exploit in the years ahead.
